False Missing Person's     Report/Controlling Mother 

On May 27th, my mother filed a missing person's report on me. There is a video call that is recorded between us on June 2nd after she filed the report. She was told to take care of this on the video call. We saw each other a few times afterwards and she STILL didn't take it down. I was never missing. I am 25 years old and went on my own path.

I went into a police station on June 18th, 2023 clearly presenting that I was alive, well, and just did not want to engage with family. Who have disrespected me and honestly emotionally/mentally abused me. I am not going to consciously stay in a household around people who do not and will not acknowledge the damage/trauma they have done to me.

I stayed in that police station lobby for a hot minute. When the police officer came back to say my missing person's report was cleared in the system, I was told I was free to go. He stated that he contacted my mother. The advice that stuck with me is that he said families can be like that sadly. Even knowing my full situation/relationship with my mother.

 

However, I am 25 years old and he said I can do whatever I please. Yes, I can notify my family every so often if I want to but I don't HAVE to. I did notify them of my whereabouts at first but I did not want to waste my energy dealing with them. 

 

A few weeks later I was speaking to two police officers that said I was STILL in the system as missing. After an hour of talking to them. They forced me to go to the hospital to be seen by a doctor because my mother spread rumors and lies about my mental health. I agreed and went in. They saw that I was PERFECTLY FINE and there was no need to search my things or keep me hostage.

 

Thankfully, the doctor saw I was ok/let me go sometime after 10pm and saw that I was mentally stable. 

 

Since speaking to my mother on 07/16/23, she said that she will be withholding my money as she tells me she's going on vacation in the next two days. Huh?....I wonder who's paying for your vacation.....

She is withholding my money. She goes on to say that she is worried about me, others saying she "cares" about me, but how can you when you filed a FALSE missing person's report. You are withholding my money to hinder me from moving forward in my life. She is withholding my money for me to continue to take care of my physical appearance, travel to work/appointments/for self-care, and events. I deserve to have fun, to eat three meals daily, wash my clothes, and etc.
